Fate 3
A detailed Summary of Fate 3
Are we capable of living our life freely?
Often in life we are faced with high expectations by parents and the outside world and succumb to the pressure of being someone we are not. We have the idea that freedom is a natural right, but freedom has become a fallacy that consumes our lives. People like to believe they have the freedom to live life as they see fit, however it is quite the opposite.
When you are born your parents already have your life planned out for you. Your mother plans for you to be the next president while your father wants you to be a doctor, just like him. Meanwhile you just want to play in your crib with your rattles. You can not even comprehend the concept of your future, but your parents have visualized it and plan to raise you along that plan.
As we grow older, particularly for males we are faced with athletics. Your father signs you up for baseball, soccer, and football. He already expects you to be a three-sport all-star, just like dad. As we grow older the importance of secondary education and a career increases. Your parents want you to attend the same college as they did. Mom wants you to study law at Princeton, just as she did, while dad wants you to study medicine at Harvard like he did. Once again you are not free to make your own choice, if you were then you would just study finance at Saint John's University. No matter what path you choose, either mom, dad, or you will be disappointed, because you can not please everyone.
Another approach to this paper is destiny. Your life may be predetermined. One who grows up poor, yet somehow manages to create his own company and become a millionaire, may have achieved this because he was destined to do so. It was not his freedom that allowed him to accomplish so much. Freedom gave him the opportunity to imagine becoming a millionaire, but it was destiny that allowed his dream to become a reality. Your destiny can also control your characteristics. Why isn't everyone born with the ability to draw or paint with the same skill? A simple answer is that they were not born for that purpose, that skill was not part of their destiny.
Parents also may try to mold you by comparing you to a celebrity. When you refuse to do as your mother says
