While she was sick she would videotape herself playing with her puppets and one-day she caught her mom poisoning her food on tape. She tells Cole to go to her funeral reception and find the tape and give it to her father. The family would have had no idea if Kohl had brought the tape to their attention. How Cole knew to get the tape was through his feelings brought on by the ghost.

The marks on his body were a mystery and there was no way to prove what exactly happened, however, Cole believes it was an angry ghost.
