We all live in the world which classifies people into precisely defined groups. Some of us can be easily identified with one group, but some of us cannot. Both essays " Why Does My Race Matter" by Yasmine Bahrani and "Freedom From Choice" by Brian A. Courney deal with these problems, problems encountered by biracial and multiracial people in today's world.

Being biracial is not so simple today. Society forces these people to identify themselves with one ethnic group by denying other part of their ethnic background.
