As time has past and written stories have been read, the use of darkness as a symbol has been frequent in trying to represent evil, concealment, and blindness. Such is this in the story of Agamemnon, where the symbolism can be seen in the beginning of the story where betrayal and murder are frequent. The darkness that consumes the scenes in Agamemnon is used for effect in order to convey indirectly, themes of evil, thoughts of betrayal, and lies of deceit.
