Great Expectations which was set in Victorian England tells the

story of a young boys struggles in life. Pip, a young orphan who lives

with his older sister is seated the cemetery looking at his parents graves

when Magwich an escaped convict attacks Pip and orders him to bring

food and a file for his leg iron. Pip obeys, and gets everything the

convict asks for, but soon the convict is captured , but he protects Pip

and says that he stole everything himself. Pip soon goes to a play at the

Satis House where he meets Mrs. Havisham who was left at the altar on

her wedding day and now wears an old wedding dress everywhere she

goes. While at the Satis House Pip meets a young girl named Estella who

treats him coldly, but Pip can't help his attraction to Estella and one

day hopes that he will become a wealthy gentleman so he might


chance with her. One day when Pip is at work with his brother-in-law

until Pip finds out that Magwitch the convict was actually the
