Ancient history is a very important because it was the beginning of all recorded civilization, in fact it is said that with out it civilization would burst apart at the seems. During this period there were three groups of cultures; the Egyptians, the Indians and the Chinese. All three of these cultures lived and thrived in river valleys. They are also credited for coming up with the first writing system, which we use to see their complex ways of life. This is also the time period in which civilization really started to rise; this period is known as the classical period. During the classical period there where many influential people. There was Augusta Caesar (the leader of the Roman empire), Alexander the Great (a Greek conqueror who took over half the world), Aristotle (a great philosopher), Jesus Christ (a "savior" who many people believed in and still do today) and many more conquers and philosophers.
