Many theories exist to explain the ongoing debate on the existence of God. Whether or not we have a belief on this subject is irrelevant. We are here today and we got here somehow. People embrace different versions of the birth of our existence. I would like to share my version and what I think about the rest of them:
People grow up in different environments, families, and circumstances. Our culture nurtures beliefs and traditions from all of these factors. As a result of these factors, we acquire our beliefs as to the existence of God. At an early age children who are very susceptible to brainwashing, get taken to church and hear over and over about the life of Jesus. Before they reach middle school, a good majority of them believe in the existence of Jesus Christ. Once a belief has been placed on someone it is up to the individual to keep an open mind. One has to read all opposing sides before making an educated guess.

I think that the bible and the Ten Commandments served a lot of good purposes a long time ago. Two of the possible reasons might have been law enforcement or explanation of mankind. When there was no police and no one to punish wrongdoings, parents taught kids to do right or to expect punishment from god. Children knew that even if no one found out about a crime, god would always know. I always thought that each individual is a god in his own way, and that your conscience will never let you forget your wrongdoings. If parents were to raise their kid's right, they would not need to fear authority or other outside forces. I am a strong believer in, "What goes around, comes around." Therefore, I always try to help people out. Many years ago people didn't have an explanation of how we got here, they could only speculate. In present day many new facts have come to light, many new discoveries have changed our lives. Should we ignore them and continue believing that we were magically created? Or, should we learn from them and try to answer many more unanswered questions?
