The domestication of the North American frontier has contributed greatly to today's American culture. When North America gained independence and became the United States, many people began to move over many of the natural frontiers. Though there was one difference in American institutions from those of any other country. America has always found a way of adapting itself to the growing and expanding world around itself. The American domestication has been in a constant progression along a growing frontier border, and then settling there to domesticate its new borders.

America has always been a safe haven for different races and religions. During the frontier settlement America was so tolerant of many different races for the simple fact that without the immigrants America would not have been able to accomplish many of the different factors that contribut


One of the areas also affected by the domestication of the last frontier was politics. People learned how to be very individualized, pushing their way through whatever barriers nature presented. This individuality has led Americans to develop a government that facilitates individualism. Americans usually suspicious, untrusting, and paranoid of the government because we like to be independent, individually solving whatever problems arise in our path to the goal. This mentality is shown in the nation's protests to the government's increasing tyranny and intervention in our personal lives; however, a changing, growing nation requires changes in government. We believe in individualism, and we apply this belief to all aspects of our lives.
