"Millennium 2000! Wow! What a time! It will be the biggest party ever! Or so I thought."

New Year's eve 1999 was undoubtedly my worst party ever and definitely the largest waste of money for the big cities of the world.

Too much hype was built up to this New Year's Eve and it became nothing but an anticlimax. There was no blackout, nor any problems. The Y2K insurance plans were only a money making scheme.

I woke up feeling really good on New Year's Eve and went willingly to my 8 to 4 summer job, imagining all day what the turn of the millennium would be like and was so excited about the beach party: hundreds were due to turn up!
