Macbeth

The story of Macbeth is one of murder, greed, deception and treachery. Macbeth's mind was filled with fantasies of success, and riches from the very beginning because of news from three witches that told him of things to come, of being thane of Cawdor, and eventually King of Scotland. At first he was skeptical, there was already a Thane of Cawdor, but when he was told that the Thane had been executed, and he was in fact to be Thane of Cawdor, he became fixed on his next achievement, of being King of Scotland. He figured that if one of the prophecies had occurred he would achieve the next. The King was planning on announcing who would take over his thrown, and Macbeth believed that it was going to be him. When Malcolm, the Kings son, was pronounced King, Macbeth was outraged as thoughts of murder and treachery filled his mind. He was able to control his urges though, and not carry out his devious thoughts. Lady

Macbeth, however, was full of greed and would do anything for Macbeth to be king, as soon as possible. Macbeth had given thought to the idea of treachery, but it was Lady Macbeth who had the greater sense of ambition, which led to his royal thrown of Scotland, and his horrific death. The story of Ma

After listening to the witches, Macbeth and his Lady became greedy and would do anything for him to become King. Macbeth would take anyone's life, with the exception of his wife's, if it meant them getting in the way of him becoming King. His best friend, Banquo, began suspecting Macbeth of committing treachery, so Macbeth killed him, without a second thought. If this was Macbeth's closest friend, imagine what he would do to someone he didn't care about. Macbeth actually liked the King, he felt that he was a good, honorable man and probably didn't deserve to be killed. When Macbeth was deciding whither or not to kill him, he almost didn't go through with it because he felt he was a good King and hadn't done anything wrong. If Macbeth wasn't so greedy, he would listen to his intuition and not kill him. Lady Macbeth was totally paranoid all throughout the play, but she was the one who forced Macbeth into killing the King. One night, the Doctor and the gentlewoman saw her sleepwalking. She revealed the murders to them, telling them the guilt that she has felt this whole time. Obviously the murder had been eating away at her, of she wouldn't have been having disturbing sleeps confessing what she had done. It is said that you dream about what you think about.

Macbeth was a good man before these witches had interrupted his life. Macbeth had just returned from fighting in a battle, and he had fought extremely well. The reason he was announce Thane of Cawdor was because of his loyalty and devotion that he showed towards his country while fighting. T
