the meaning of life
Good morning, and welcome to another edition of "Cup of Chat", I'm your host Jewls Ashner. Today is a very special show dealing with the meaning of life. So often we get caught up in the hustle and bustle of everyday life that we forget what is truly scared and important in our lives. More than we would like to admit we get sidetracked with insignificant things that don't' amount to a hill of beans in our life. With us today are two very special guests that are going to shed some meaning into our lives. Our first guest was diagnosed with a deadly debilitating disease that was not only stealing his life but it was teaching him how to live. Please welcome Morrie Shwartz. Hello Morrie and welcome to "Cup of Chat", it's so good to have you here. Thank you Jewls it is so good to be here. When you are dying you see things in a whole new perspective Jewls. I was just like everyone else, never thinking or even considering death. I used to say I was going to be the healthiest old man people ever met. I walked around in a trance as if I was sleepwalking until this disease woke me up. This disease gave me a new pair of eyes that let me see life like I have never seen it before. Jewls, once you learn how to die you learn how to live. Morrie how did you learn how to die? Well like the Buddhists do, pretend there's a little bird on your shoulder and ask him today if I die, I am the person I want to be? Am I doing all I need to do? Am I ready? Once you accept that you can die at anytime Jewls, you might not be as ambitious as you once were. Because the thing
