` Karl Marx was a German social philosopher exiled from Paris on account of his radical politics. He moved to Belgium where he attempted to assemble a group of exiled German artisans into unified political organization called "German Working Mans Association". England already had similar organizations. Under Marx's influence, the group of working class parties took the name "The Communist League". From there they began meeting to discuss their grievances with capitalism and the methods of response. While most of the group advocated universal
