mark twains life

Mark Twain has to be one of the best writers this world has ever seen. He has written so much that there is no way I could even get through half of it. He overcame a lot in his life to accomplish as much as he did in his life. All the great books he wrote, and all the things he did for American society. For now though we will start out at the very beginning with his birth. From there i will take to the tribulations of his life where he overcame a lot to be a success.

Mark Twain was born into this world on November 30, 1835 as Samuel Langhorne Clemens. His father and mother were John and Jane Clemens. He was born in a small town of Florida, Missouri. His family was a poor family but well respected in the community. His father worked as a postmaster and his mother was a house-wife. So what they achieved his father did for them.

Times were, land was cheap. John Clemens was a smart man who knew this and decided to take advantage of this. That is why he purchased 75,000 acres all for the price of 500 dollars. He said, "Whatever befalls me now, my heirs are secure. I may not seee these acres turn into silver and gold but my children will". He was a very smart man and knew that the land would raise steadily in price a

Never has there been a writer who cared so much about his worldly surroundings and paid so much detail to the world around him. He is a great writer because he is human and everything around him affects him. Many writers can't comprehend this fact and therefore can't succeed like he did in the world of literature. You need to understand the world around you like he did before you can truly be a great writer. Along with this comes with the feature he has known as curiousity. This to him was known as the unobstructed eye which is the dominant feature of his temperament. He could never stop looking at the world around him, and at the "damned human race" which he liked to view with ridicule, wrath, and yet laughter. Because he too was a member of that race and he could say no worse of any man for that.

However Mark Twain did make his way back. However with his efforts his daughter Susy died. After this he entered the second most traumatic event in his life. This one wasn't the worst one of it. He survived them and thrived for what he went through. This is part of the reason why people say he has a double soul.

The best thing about Twain is that he never let his financial or social success never touched his works. Nor did the Victorian censorship ever hold him back, the reverse was actually what happened with him. He always thrived in his works whether it was his essays, humor, or just his books. No matter what you read of Twain's it is all great because it cam from his pleasure not forced at all.
