In the novel Lord of the Flies written by William Golding the character of Simon is suggested to be a Christ-like figure. Simon is the stabilizing factor throughout the novel. He is the only one who stays true to his personal morals and beliefs even away from society just as Christ did.

The savageness of all the other boys begins to come out through the novel, but Simon stays the stabilizing factor on the island. Simon is the only genuinely good character and he is the only one that sticks to his morals throughout the entire novel. The fact that he keeps his convections even away from society proves
