Comparing two stories by John Updike.
The two stories I read by John Updike were called A&P and The Rumor.
In comparing the two male characters A&P' s Sammy and The Rumors Frank. I came to the conclusion that they are completely different. Sammy stood up for something he thought was important and Frank came to realize the fact that he is gay, but will not admit that to his wife.
The main male character in A&P Sammy is totally captivated by the beauty of a girl he calls "Queenie" . When Queenie and her two friends come into the store they violate the dress code. The manager, who tells them that the way they are dressed is not expecta
