Deception occurs when a person leads another person into believing an idea, concept, assertion, etc., that is untrue or lacks sufficient clarification. An example of deception could be an optical illusion. Your eyes see one or more things in a manner or state, that under close examination, appear differently than what was identified previous to investigation. You can imagine the destructive nature of such illusions if the power to deceive is placed in the hands of powerfully influential people and institutions.
