When the governor chooses Fielding to run for Congress it seems as though he will soon have everything he's always dreamed of. Or will he?

"The movie got made for one reason, alone: because Jodie wanted it to get made," Gordon said of Foster.

Directed by actor-turned-filmmaker Keith Gordon whose screen credits include Christine and Back to School, and has directed The Chocolate War (Robert Cormier's classic novel) which won critical acclaim and Gordon an IFP/Spirit Award nomination for Best First Feature.

Gordon called Waking the Dead a compelling romantic drama, "I don't know when I've been affected so strongly by a piece of writing," Gordon said, "I just knew I had to make it into a film."

"This is a love story about a man who is willing to compromise to get somewhere and achieve something quite wonderful,"
