A detailed Summary of The Prince


When Machiavelli wrote the prince he was depicting two types of rulers, those who were loved and those who were feared. He gives tips and helpful hints on how to gain a principality and keep it safe and as a part of your kingdom. He says that a prince could live in the principality and "win the affections" or "inspire them with fear". Machiavelli lists dos and don'ts in the art of taking over an area by force, .0inheritance, or purchasing it. In this essay I will list my feelings and reactions to the remarks he made on the ways of the leaders of his time and how I feel about his theories.
