In this essay on Jesus, I am going to talk a lot about what made Jesus such an important figure. I am going to discuss Jesus' birth, death and some of what in between. When Jesus was born there was a census of the whole world going on that was ordered by Caesar Augustus. Every one had to register in their won town. So when everybody heard of this census, Joseph went from Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to David's town of Bethlehem. While Mary who was pregnant at the time and Joseph were in Bethlehem, Mary gave birth to her first born son. She named him Jesus. The only problem was that that there was no space in any shelter for Jesus, Mary and Joseph. So Mary wrapped her newborn baby in some clothes and laid him to rest in a manger. This was the only place they could find for Baby Jesus. There was not a lot written on Jesus when he was growing from b
oyhood to adulthood. So I am going to get right to his adult life. As Jesus was travelling from Galilee he ran into John the Baptist. Jesus asked John to baptize him. But at first, he refused. "I should be baptized by you, yet you come to me." After a minute of arguing John gave in and baptized Jesus. After Jesus came out of the water, the sea suddenly opened and he said that the spirit of God descended like a dove and hovered over him. God the Father then spoke and said, "This is my beloved son. My favor rests on him". Some time after his baptism, Jesus traveled to Cana in Galilee to where there was a wedding. At this wedding Jesus performed one of his many miracles. During this wedding at one point, the wine ran out. In times like this to run out of wine was know to be very bad. So when Jesus found out about this dilemma he spoke to his mother. She in turn inst
