Today I am looking at how Diane, a fifth-grade teacher at Oneida Elementary, handles the different ethnic groups and socioeconomic statuses in her classroom. Oneida Elementary is located in the lower middle class section of the city. The school is over crowded, and there is very short time to spend with each child. Diane's classroom is built for twenty-five students but the school system packs thirty-one students into her tiny classroom.
