Not exactly, but we know this one is the size of Manhattan below 110th street. And it is first detected a year before the emergency, when a high school astronomer takes a photograph through his telescope. Cut to a comet expert pizza at his keyboard. Finding distractedly with his computer, this scientist happens to exemine the comet's orbit. Comparing with these two movies, I think "Deep Impact" is truer than "Armageddon". Why? Because in "Armageddon", NASA send a group of drillers to space for saving earth, and they are untrained for the space knowledge, well, even they get trained before they land on comet, this is still too perfect to be true. So, in my opinion, I prefer "Deep Impact".

In the movie "Armageddon", first seen chipping golf balls spitefully at a green peace vessel, Bruce Willis starts as a bullying oil tycoon who is called Harry S. Stamper ans lives up ot the name. For the same reasons that Willis perhaps had the biggest trailer on the set, he monopolizes the noblest moments in the movie, but he has to establish Harry's boorishness first.
