PA Compared to NC
Pennsylvania and North Carolina are two states on the east side of the United States. Though they are apart in miles, they have many similarities, yet some differences. My mother and I had a chance to stay with my aunt in Hershey a few years back. As her and my mother discussed the “good old days”, I could not help but take note as to the things that are similar and different here and in Pennsylvania. The first and most obvious difference is the weather. In Pennsylvania, the weather there is, for the most part cold, and at the very least, cool. One of the most well known sayings about the weather there is that there are two seasons, “winter and road construction”. Now, as funny as that sounds, it is not that far from the truth. In the summer time, it can usually be expected to reach about seventy-five to eighty degrees and the people there think that it is the end of the world. They think it is just too hot and muggy, which for someone who are not used to really hot weather, it would be. In the fall, there is a period of time (about one month), where the leaves turn color and the temperature reaches what they consider normal (fifty to sixty degrees).
