Video games, the television, and especially the internet are really evil time thieves of technology. When playing with the time thieves remember that time flys when you're having fun and don't forget about the real world. If it was one thing that I had to mention of what I learned from doing this research paper is that don't procrastinate on anything. I know that the cost of my senioritis is the fact that I come home and get on the net, rather than work on this research paper. Don't waste your time, especially on video games, the internet and television. Time flys by so quickly your senior year, so don't procrastinate, because procrastination is a frankenstien.

Two other time thieves, besides video games, are the internet and television. Both are similar to the video game. They are addictive and the information they contain can sometimes be unacceptable. They all consume family time, and personal time as well. People would rather watch television or stay online to chat with someone than participate in a family function. For example, instead of going to church with your family, or instead of doing your homework, you watch television or get online. On the other hand, there are more benefits in the internet and television than in video games. Video games may have educational games but how many kids out there play educational games? How many more kids watch educational shows on television or look up source for reports on the internet? I think the internet has a lot more benefits than what video games provide. The bad thing about television and the internet is that we interact with machines instead of interacting with human beings. Society is so highly dependent on computers and the net and television for entertainment that society sometimes forgets to look at the negative aspects that technology brought to this society. Instead society primarily relies on the positive things it has done for mankind. As people depend more and more on computers and television as some form of entertainment, society will experience the enlarged gap between computer time and human time. This adds to the hardships of trying to raise your kids correctly. With all the distractions and commotion's associated with the high tech stuff, kids will have no time for eating dinner at the same time or together. The family schedule that was once the focus of family activities is harder to maintain. The family now has a competition with technology. Mom and dad will try to compete with technology, maintaining for their kids and have control over them. The only thing that a family will be able to do is sleep together. That's if your kids don't have video games. If they do, expect them in their pajamas playing late at night. Television and the internet contains immoral content such as nudity, sex, drugs, and violence.
