Wind and Shadows written by the Daughters of St. Paul is about Joan of Arc. She was a peasant girl who believed strongly in God. She felt it was her duty to help free France from the English and to crown the French King Charles VII who later betrayed her. In Rouen, France, she was burned to death by one of my relatives, the Earl of Warwick, because people thought she was a witch. Her death inspired people to fight the English.
