Teenage Violence
A detailed Summary of Teenage Violence
The rash of violent crimes in recent months seems to be on the rise. More teens
than ever are becoming the culprits. Although more and more teens are the culprits, they are
also three times as likely to become the victims. People ask why do young adults
commit these crimes? The answer is very complicated. Teenagers act violently for a
number of reasons or a combination lots of reasons. The main and most important reason is due to
poor mental health. The recent school shootings + young deaths could have been prevented. If these young teens were thought ways to improve there mental health. Teens in this Health class are being taught just that, way to improve their mental health. Taking this class is possibly preventing young teens in the school to commit violent crimes.
If you haven't been in a coma, you must have heard of the Columbine shootings on April 20, 1999. A couple students from Columbine high school came to school with guns and bombs and killed twelve students and a teacher, injuring two dozen, then killing themselves. Students and News analysts said these 2 boys were into "hate crimes" and discrimination. They say they found lots of stuff on the internet about hate crimes and how to make weapons such as bom

He covered himself in pork and laid across a fire, similar to the actors in the show. He suffered third degree burns all over his body. I can relate to this incident because my friends once smeared lighter fluid on his jeans and lit it on fire. I don't know why he did it, perhaps he too saw a stunt like it on the show "Jackass" on another occasion, I recall a friend of mine trying to mimic "Jackass" also. he ran on the edge of a 5 foot wall and leaped into a row of bushes. Luckily he didn't seriously injure himself by landing on a thick bush stem. On another episode of "jackass" actors pushed each other in grocery carts, ran fast then let the cart go flying. Another stunt that the same friend did , resembling the show was when he wore a gorilla suit and caused trouble around town. I was with him the entire time and actually was the first to wear it that night, but he was the unlucky one who got to were it to jail. These instances, where one of my friends mimicked what they saw on tv, goes to show you that teens can and do get ideas from the media.
