"America, the land of free and the home of the brave"-- this common phrase puts a tear inmost people's eye when heard. However, "America the democracy" doesn't quite have the same ring when spoken. Depending on the person, some people might say that America is a democracy, and others might not agree. Likewise, a math teacher might say that a rectangle is not always a square, whereas a student might not agree. The truth is that America is not a true democracy, The people don't have direct say in our government, but America is a representative democracy, where the people have an indirect say in the government.
