In Henrik Ibsen's play "A Doll's House"; past actions of the character Krogstad have influenced his life. Krogstad committed a crime in his past. He signed someone else's name and is still paying for this crime. The other characters see him as a liar and a cheat. They do not trust Krogstad and this effect his present life because he wants to keep his job at the bank, but Mr. Helmer, the head of the bank, will not let this happen.
