This Poem is written by Richard Wilbur and it's tittle is "Juggler" as we can see. The subject of this poem is not very straight forward it has a deeper meaning which the reader has to search for and has to understand. The poem is basically talking about a juggler in a circus (I think...we don't know exactly where). The speaker is describing the jugglers movements and actions, by doing that he also tries to express his ideas and feelings by seeing this juggler. The ideas are connected to what the speaker sees but it isn't connected to what a normal person would feel by watching a normal juggler just playing "with five red balls". The deeper meaning of this poem I will be discussing later on in the context of the commentary.
The poem is divided into 5 equal stanzas. Every stanza has 6 lines, there is a certain pattern in the lines. The first three lines are long and the two lines following are short in comparison to the two past lines and then the last line is also long. I do not know if this form of a poem has a particular name.
The obvious tone poem is the excitement of the speaker. Of course the speaker becomes solemn and serious in some parts of the poem where he compares the balls to the ear
I think that this poem is a poem that gives me the possibility to think about the intention of the speaker or the poet who has written this poem. I also like this poem because it gives me a feeling as if I was watching the juggler and hearing him, his every movement and his great winning and make all the audience clap for him and look at him with admiration
