To say that technology has changed the way we live would be an understatement. Countries will lie, cheat and steal to stay ahead in this technological age because of the monetary benefits. As companies with new technologies climb the DOW Jones charts, society is benefiting from the economic windfalls.

A credit card number or social security number left unguarded can be a financial windfall for some. Even those not so computer literate have access to questionable material. As porn has swept the net, government has begun to police the web. Pedophilia, calls for hit men, and instructions on bomb making have the free speech advocates questioning the limits. Remember that our children, the future leaders, have the same access you do. This makes the violence in cartoons seem trivial in comparison.

The Internet has reduced distances between people. The world is but a finger click away. Person to person mail has become obsolete. Paper mail is going the way of the dinosaur, for the better. The sharing of information is easier than opening a book. People used to tune in, now they log in. Activity levels are steadily decreasing as consumers find access to chat rooms, entertainment and shopping. Business can reach right to your computer with cookies unlike commercial were never able to. The more sites you hit companies know your preferences and bombard you with offers and discounts.
