The Creation of Human Beings
The creation of human beings has numerous myths and stories that were initially wrote in history. These are stories that tell how the first race of mankind came into being and the different things that the Gods had to encounter during their Creations. When we think of creation, we think of how things were in the beginning of time and how they were suppose to be, based on these stories and myths that are noted. Many people only know of one main creation, and that is the creation that "God" made men of dust in his own image and blew his breath into him. It seems before I started to begin to broaden my knowledge with stories and or myths, I truly believed the same, but now I also can say I've had the opportunity to encounter more than just that one story or myth of creation. The time of today does state that this particular story of "God's Creation" is the true story based on the teachings of today. In this essay, I plan to discuss three simple version of the creation of mankind or what we call human beings. These stories and myths take part first in Ovid's Metamorphoses when Prometheus molded man into mankind, secondly they spoke of Posenberg's World Mythology when the god Quetzacoatl, of this time created mankind from bones th
at he stole, and finally the new King James version of the Bible when God created man from dust in the image of himself. In all stories the God's work really hard to create the race of mankind and had to encounter different things. The final version of human creation comes from the Bible. Verse twenty-six in Chapter One of Genesis say "Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness; let them have domain over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." From this, God created man in his own image. God created both male and female from his image, and he told them to be fruitful and multiply. But Genesis 2:7 gives a more understanding which says "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. Genesis 2:18-22 says "And the Lord God said, "It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him." Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. In addition, whatever Adam called each living creature, which was its name. Therefore, Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. However, for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him. In addition, the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. Then the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man. In conclusion of
