Poor Man's Pasta Plus
I stumbled in my front door early this morning, just before the sun made its daily appearance, and I knew one thing; I was starving. A quick inspection of my finances made it perfectly clear that 'take-out' was impossible. A speedy examination of my dusty cupboard produced one box of macaroni and cheese and a can of golden mushroom soup. After finding a package of five hot dogs in the fridge, I knew I had the makings of my favorite drunk-food dish: Poor Man's Pasta Plus. Proper preparation of the dish, flavor kickers, and continual taste testing were factors that made the meal a success. The first thing I had to do, to prepare the dish, was find a semi-clean pot. I found it in the kitchen sink with very little remains of Ramen Noodles Plus, another one of my favorites. Hoping that the leftover noodles would add to the flavor of the dish, I decided against cleaning the pot too thoroughly. I filled it about half full of cold water
As always, I constantly taste tested the dish throughout the whole process. I believe that taste testing has always ensured for a desirable final product, and was also a nice little snack before the meal. I only put four of the five hot dogs into the dish. I kept the other one as a taste-testing instrument. I used it to dip into the various ingredients as the dish developed, including the cheese, ketchup and ranch dressing, making sure they were all edible. Having used up my entire taste-testing instrument, I used the spoon to test the tenderness of the macaroni and flavor of the mushroom soup, which I found golden. I also tested a couple spoonfuls during the stirring process at the end. Perfection was achieved. I woke up late this afternoon, and knew one thing; I was starving.
