For many decades Macbeth has been argued a tragedy and not a tragedy throughout history. Many scholars argue the point that this is that and that is this therefore trying to have more concrete facts in which what Macbeth is. I think Macbeth is a tragedy because of many hard facts that lead to it.
A tragedy is usually named after a person who held a high status and fell from it. The in the end the "hero" dies usually falling from a moral, social, ethical, etc. William Shakespeare named this play Macbeth because he wanted to show the tragedy of him. The play being named Macbeth supports my conclusion. In the story Macbeth already known throughout the kingdom is at a high point in the beginning of the play. He goes to see the witches and is pressed with a destiny which the witches saw within their minds. This puts up another question in which Macbeth destiny was changeable or not. I think that there is nothing such as fate because you always have a choice. Macbeth before he kills Duncan hesitates because he starts to think of the consequences. t in this play also because she is the "devil" that's tempts Macbeth into killing the king, therefore making his sons flee (because they could be suspected of killing him), and so Macbeth becoming king. Macduff from when he saw Macbeth's reaction and thinking almost had Macbeth's plan figured out. He was suspicious about the guards killing the king and why it was in Macbeth's house. This brought the downfall of Macbeth in the end. All this could have been avoided if Macbeth choose the road to not killing another man to have a brief kingship and then your life taken away to give someone else your kingship. It is ironic that when Macbeth was killed it had fulfilled the prophecy in which the witches told him. His subconscious urged him into thinking that he was helpless because if the witches had told him his destiny how could he stop it. He had a many choices in which to stop this prophecy from coming true. He killed his best friend, his relatives, and all in all his wife because of one bad choice he made. Macbeth had a tragic flaw within in him that was bringing to him his end. His pride in which he wanted to be the highest, the head Pancho eventually killed him and many innocent others. But what saved him from suicide was his recognition that what he had done was
