the charachters of teh good earth are Wang Lung(husband) and Olan (wife) in the begining the setting is in China, at the house of wang.it starts of on wang lung's wedding day and he marrys olan. the woman picks up teh husbands peach pit and plants it. she was treated cruelly at her old house but wang lung is sweet to her.he likes her, the pech tree grows. Olan does alot of work on the farm and takes care of the house.she becomes pregnant. the husband is very excited and so is the father who is wang lungs' father.

she hated teh house of wang and doesnt want to go back to give birth, only to show them her son witha red jacket to impress them. strom is comming and they lose all
