The last true hippie marched out of Max Yasgur’s muddy pasture more than 25 years ago. During those few days the Woodstock music and art fair drew more that 450,000 people to a pasture in Sullivan County.Woodstock took place with the minds of 4 very different young men, John Roberts, Joel Rosenman, Artie Kornfeld, and Michael Lang. The oldest of the 4 was 26 who was John Roberts. Roberts supplied the money. He was heir to a drugstore and toothpaste manufacturing fortune.
