Greeted by an old friend. Gregory Maximand was described as a trim, tanned, fit man with a perpetual smile on his face. Caritat asked Gregory where the entire less fortunate people were and where did the lower classes live. Gregory explained that there were no classes and that every person in Utilitara was equal.

Throughout Caritat's visit, he noticed that the old people were put away and treated like ghosts, and the young people are tuned to be perfect people from the beginning of their childhood.
