Why is it that prisoners, while imprisoned and after their release, desperately seek power and chose any means of getting it? The answer to that question lies in the article, "Study of Prisoners and Guards in a Simulated Prison". The atmosphere of a prison creates enormous hatred of the guards who are violent and sadistic to the prisoners. To find out why such distinctive roles of "prisoner" and "guard" were assumed a facility was built to simulate a prison. Participants who freely volunteered to participate were randomly divided into two groups: "prisoners" and "guards". The prisoners were told that they would be notified when their services would be needed
