The play is about "two star crossed lovers" one Romeo Montaque and the other Juliet Capulet .There is a problem with this their familles are rivals.

Sounds and music, The sound and music creates great effects on important scenes such as the starting scene when the servants of Romeo meet up with the servants of Juliet . The music creates a tense environment by using the guitar the guitarist is plucking a cord repeatedly . Music is a great way to bring out different effects. The film was set in a city called Verona, you know it was set in the late 1990 because of the sky scrapers. When Romeo was banished from Verona to Mantna he stayed in a caravan park out in the desert

The film would have been a hit to the teenage girls because of romance but there still was a bit of action for the boys , I don't think it would have of appealed to the older audience.

this brought on the a brilliant effect of emptyness and space.

The language in the film wasn't changed much from the language back when Shakespeare wrote it so if you hadn't read the text first it would have been hard to understand the film. Even in the text Mercuito uses a foreign language he states "Alla stoccata" which means "at the thrust" it is Italian.

Romeo was played by Lenardo de caprio, It had a good affect on the girls not so much with the boys. In the film Romeo was a romantic character who was deeply in love with Juliet. Leanardo done a great job acting as Romeo.

Overall I think that Baz luhrmann adaptation of Romeo and Julliet was a great success , he did a great job of making it more up to date
