Much Ado About Nothing2

"What my dear Lady Disdain! Are you yet living?" (I, i, 105) "In mine eye she is the sweetest lady that I ever looked on" (I, i, 165). These are quotes from two different characters in the play Much Ado About Nothing. Just by reading these quotes you can tell that they are two very different people with two very different personalities. Also, in the play they both fall in love and get married to two very different people. In Much Ado About Nothing the characters Beatrice and Bene*censored* carry on a love relationship and Claudio and Hero do as well. By looking at these completely different relationships you will find that no matter what type of personality you may have, love is universal.

The way that Bene*censored* and Beatrice treated each other in the play was far different then the way that Claudio and Hero treated each other. Bene*censored* and Beatrice were very disrespectful toward each other, but in a playful way they used their humorous personalities and witty statements to knock down the other p


The most interesting part of the relationships was the ways they were established. Similarly, Don Pedro was involved in setting up both relationships. In Hero and Claudio's relationship Don Pedro stood in for Claudio and proposed to Hero for him. In Bene*censored* and Beatrice's relationship Don Pedro came up with a plan to trick them into professing their love for each other.

After reading this play I came to the conclusion that in life there are many different ways people express true love. The only thing that matters in a love relationship is if the love is true, everything will fall into place. We see this principle in the play in both relationships. Although both couples had trials they had to overcome with each other, they still maintained that true love, they tied the knots that were loose, and they lived happily ever after.

The trust factor is also a very important component in a love relationship. Claudio couldn't really trust Hero because he didn't know her well enough. An example of this is when Hero is falsely accused of making love with another man the night before her wedding. If Cl
