Free Speech
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances. The U.S. Constitution says that everyone that is an American citizen has the right of free speech. You can find censorship almost anywhere around you. It's in music, television, and even literature. I don't believe that it is fair that there be some much censorship in a country that does nothing but promise freedom to all its occupants. "Opinion and protest are the life breath of democracy - even when it blows heavy" "America did not invent human rights. In a very real sense, human rights invented America." - Jimmy Carter, 1981 Another place you can find censorship is in the movies and on television. It is just as bad, worse in fact because the stories on it are REAL. Nobody will ever decide to take the news off the air because it is too brutal. Do you really think that it's a coincidence that we have had three sets of multiple shootings at schools in the past five months? Has the news media ever considered that they might be ENCOURAGING such behavior in people that want their 15 minutes of fame, however they can get it? The problem with violence lies deeper then with film or television.
