A detailed Summary of Oliver Cromwell


The movie about Oliver Cromwell shows how the Commons had to fight for they're right against the royal Crown. For the first time in history the people of England wanted to declare war against their own king. It was a "big thing" to say or act in a way which was against the monarchy. In the beginning Oliver Cromwell was furious when the people he had around him started to discuss how they could increase the power of the king. Cromwell's opinion was that England needed a strong and powerful king. If the king had misused his power there wouldn't have been a civil war.
