School Uniforms 2
School Uniform Essay 625 WORDS/Feb.13/2000 If you don't like the idea of school uniforms don't bother reading this essay. Still here hey? Well get out of my sight. For the rest of you who stayed to read my essay, I hope you get more ideas for why I think school uniforms should be essential in the school system. To me the uniform would make us look like a more sophisticated, and looked up upon rather than the regular look for West Kildonan Collegiate (looked down upon). The looks of the uniform might just win our school a little bit of respect and it could do the same for other schools like us. Here is an example, look at St. Johns School and St. Johns Ravenscourt, which school looks more respectful from what the students and teachers wear? Of course Ravenscourt does because they look clean and sophisticated, they get a lot of respect from people I know and just because they wear a dress or tie to school. St. Johns School is looked down on because of how rough the students look. I know that i
s not a rough school because a bunch of people I know went there and compared it to the toughness of West Kildonan. There is one point, uniforms WOULD gain us some respect. One thing that may be a problem, the uniforms will cost money. To me I see that as a saving because we already know that they will look nice and won't be the same thing and will be from a popular store. When a place buys lots from a company, it is called buying bulk, this almost always costs a lot less then buying one item from the company. So lets think, if we buy from the school (who isn't making any money off the uniforms) and the school is buying hundreds of pairs of clothes from the manufacture, then we will be getting a much better deal on stylish clothes then we would in the first place. In addition, this will save money in the long run, because you won't have to buy as much clothes for yourself. You can get a lot from the school at a discount price and have a couple good outfits for going out with at night, instead of expensive outfits for school too.
