People wonder what perseverance is? According to The America Heritage Dictionary perseverance means: To persist in or remain constant to a purpose, idea, or task in spite of obstacles. In the book, The Old Man and the Sea, by Ernest Hemingway, the main character Santiago shows many ways of perseverance.
