In Germany during WWII many things were going on in the economy, the social problems and

with the politics. Germany was unstable and wanted to explode upon the world. Most of the

people that were German citizens were very against the jews. Probably due to all the propaganda.

Also during the war the armies caused food shortages because an army runs on its stomach. Hitler

made many discriminative law/bills against the Jewish people. World War II was a time when

many things were going on in Germany with everyone and everything.

The economy of the German's was not really even worth the paper it was printed on.(ck) The

currency at the last few months of the war was almost one million of there marks to our American

dollar.(ck) "Hyper inflation raged during 1922 and 1923 which and the world economic

depression which broke towards the end of 1929..."(Taylor 48) During the war food was a "hot

commodity" and it was rationed off. "Daily rations per adult at the end of the war were 270g's of

bread, 35g's of meat, 25g's of sugar. Every night everyone was supposed to get one egg and 10

lbs of potatoes."(gill 5) The bread was mad of turnips and


were mostly sent to the troops. The economy was running right into the ground.

The social aspects of Germany while the war was going on were that they hated the Jewish
