There have been many documentaries and dramatic productions focusing on the Holocaust. The film, Schindler's List is one of the most serious, accurate, and compelling nondocumentary accounts so far. With the vision of unforgettable images, this movie shows the anguish and endless struggle the massacred Jews suffered. This film explores the many sides of humanity during one of the most terrifying times in recent history. Some people, however, may respond negatively to the fact that there may be some historical inaccuracies, or maybe a lack of focus on the real issues, but no film can ever capture the full torment, or the whole sequence of a six-year war. I feel this movie gives an efficient description of what the Holocaust was merely all about. It frankly describes the senseless murder of innocence Jews.

Schindler's List clarifies and depicts three major stories. One is the true tale of the Holocaust, displaying new representations of bad memories. These images of the Jewish ghettos presented may or may not be accurate, but they certainly looked creditable. Everything from the people, the streets, and the clothing they wore all gave me an overall impression of gloom and despair, an exact d


The images of the of the Holocaust are grim, but the scenes of mass graves and exhumed bodies are not all the movie shows as far as tragic death. While its impossible to deny those scenes are dreadful and convincing, potentially more disturbing are the instances of callous, individual murder. This film is full if violent and dehumanizing drama that totally gives a clear picture of the true suffering that the Jews had to undergo. This film also captures the killings that occurred within the concentration camps. The audience is able to see the progression from forced registration, to life in the ghettos, to life in the death camps.

This film also depicts the depression of the Holocaust by using black and white effects. The mixing of shadow and light was used to maybe show the hope for the Jews and the hatred for the Nazis. The faint bar of light across Schindler's eyes when the darkness was all around him in the nightclub shows his intentions of gaining potential clients for his cookware factory are honest and he really has no agenda in dealing with the officials. Though later, he barters with the Nazi officer for the return of a trainload of Jews mistakenly sent to Auschwitz, his eyes are in the shadows.
