The OutSiders

I read " The Outsiders" by S.E. Hinton, who at age 16 wrote this book. The book contains 156 very well written pages. The book would probably be placed in the adventure category. The book was written on things that S.E. Hinton experience in her life as a teenager. Almost everything that occurs in this book happened to S.E. as a kid. Let me tell you a little more about this book.

In this book the narrator is a boy named Ponyboy. Ponyboy is a fourteen year old living at home with his 2 older brothers. Pony's parents were killed in a car accident when Pony was a little boy. Pony's hair is light-brown. He likes to wear it longer than most boys his age. His eyes are a greenish-gray color. Pony introduces himself in the book by stating he likes being alone. He enjoys going to the movies alone because he feels if he takes someone else it is like having someone read over his shoulder. In the book, Pony has many things that he states that are very thoughtful. With everything he states, I conc

They hide there for a week until Johnny's conscience catches up with him. One of the boys drops a cigarette on the wood floor before they go to lunch. When the boys return to pick up their stuff to leave, the church is on fire and there are kids in the church. Johnny and Pony run in to save them. All the children get out with no injuries but Johnny had the roof clasped on him and it broke his back. He had severe burns all over his body. When the boys are taken to the hospital, Pony finds out that there is a giant rumble set for that night, socs vs. greasers to determine who would be in charge of everything. Both sides thought this would solve everything. Johnny died in the hospital and Dally, another kid in the gang was shot by t
