diffrences in athletes
A detailed Summary of diffrences in athletes
After my many years of being involved in sports I have discovered that there are many different types of athletes. They can be classified by the different reasons they each have for playing a particular sport. I have come up with three main classifications: The die-hard athlete, the stuck up athlete, and the just for fun and fitness athlete.
The die-hard athlete is extremely dedicated and plays simply for the love of the game. They will do anything to improve their skill level, as well as the teams', no matter what it takes. In my case during preseason for soccer, I practice twice a day seven days a week, even if I am sick, tired, or just really sore from working out too much. One of my teammates, Kristen Dochrety, goes as far as yelling at our team if she thinks they are not putting fourth a full effort during a practice or a game, despite the fact that the most of the gets mad at her for doing so. In the end everyone was thankful, because that was one of the factors that made us such a great team.
The second type of athlete I can talk about all day, the infamous stuck up athlete. My definition for this is pretty long. First of all this athlete, usually in most cases is not that great, but yet continually brags about

The final type of athlete that I will discuss is one that plays just for fun and to keep fit, not really caring if they improve their skill level. My traveling teams', soccer coach, Andy Cortez, is a good example. Andy is 45 years old and plays in a men's 40 and over soccer league. Most of the teams in this league are made up of retired national and professional players from around the world. His team on the other hand is just a bunch of guys that want to play soccer despite the fact they never played nationally or professionally. Therefore his team is really not a match for the rest of the teams in the league. Despite this Andy still loves playing just because he enjoys the sport, and dose not care if his team wins or looses.
