He made his way to the top despite what hardships he encountered throughout his life. He overcame physical handicaps and still managed to produce amazing songs that would influence the culture of the modern world. He was Ludwig van Beethoven. Beethoven was born in Bonn, Germany where his father and grandfather resided. He was born to Johann Beethoven and Maria Magdalena Leym. Although Beethoven had five brothers and sisters, three of them died before adolescence. The two that did survive were Casper Anton Carl, who was four years younger then Ludwig, and Nikolaus Johann,
