The YMCA (Young Men's Christen Association) is a world-wide Christian, voluntary

movement for women and men with special emphasis on the involvement of young

people. It seeks to build a human community of justice with love, peace, and

reconciliation. Founded in 1844, it now works through 14,000 local associations and

This appeals to many of the YMCA's older members who have not worked out in a considerable amount of time. The Technogym program is set-up into two different categories, for the members who are ready to be fit and for the members who are fit and are trying to build on that. Both are 12 week long programs. The funding for the Technogym was provided with a grant from the Merlin B. Loew Trust.
