McDonalds kills!
McCruelty, Stepping Up For Animal Suffrage You see it every time you go into a McDonald's little kids playing with their new surprise toy, little league teams celebrating with a victory meal, and people getting a quick bit to eat while passing through. McDonald's has become an icon in the fast food market and one of the worlds largest beef consumers. McDonald's is leading the world by purchasing the largest consumption of beef in the United States. Also, in Europe McDonald's is one of the top chicken consumers with killing over a half million chickens a week. This ad is produced by PETA's McCruelty campaign. Their object for this campaign is to get information out the animals suffering behind McDonald's restaurants. McDonald's always wants the image of being a nice family fast food restaurant but when you look passed the ads and happy meals there is a lot more to these fast food restaurants than they want you to know. Annual reports from McDonald's talk about "Global Domination" from the world leading fast food chain,! nothing about stopping the suffrage they are causing animals. This is a good persuasive ad because of the use of the visual pictures and use of sarcasm in the text used to taunt the real product.
ne of the stickers says, " Your unhappy meat is ready, McCruelty to go," which symbolizes how they painfully kill animals without thinking twice. neaking up on innocent animals just to make a profit off of them with no conscience involved. The visual images are realistic in what is happening in factory farms around the world. Everything in this ad is in actual size to mock the real "Happy Meal." gh this ad will not stop the killing and animal suffrage caused by McDonald's it is still a big step in standing up for animal rights, their pain, feelings, and it will surely start a few controversies. The McCuelty campaign was started by PETA so that the public could be aware of the company's cruelty toward animals and their welfare. On the ad it says "McCruelty to go," using a play on words to be like "McDonald's to go." The other phase that appears on the ad asks, "Do you want Fries with that?" This phase is almost ironic next to the picture because, it is the famous line you hear when you buy at a fast food place. Yet this is one of the only items on the menu where it does not involve an animal product. Also, on the box instead of writing McDonald's they renamed it with McCruelty's to show what PETA thinks of the restaurant chain. When reading the text that goes along with the picture it makes the reader believe that McDonald's is a corporation that is only out for the welfare of the business not the welfare of animals that make the business. Both the text and the picture are both equally
