Every day billions of people turn on a television and watch it for about two to four hours. For those two to four hours males and females alike are being fed information about everything. On basic cable there are about fifty to sixty channels to chose from. The possibilities are endless. Anything you want to watch is probably on some station. Most shows on these days lure males in by using sexual innuendoes. Even shows that are big with the younger audiences have been accused of using risque subjects that could be detrimental to the well being of the children watching. Now we are so used to seeing a person getting killed or people cussing all the time that it has become second nature to us. We do not even give it a second thought anymore. Society today puts an overwhelming amount of emphasis on the outward appearance of people instead of the inward appearance. There is not a show on television that casted ugly girls and guys. If they did sadly enough people would not watch it. Society is telling us through the show Friends that you have to be pretty to be somewhat successful in life.
The script of Friends has everybody having sex whenever they want to. Sex brings more viewers in and thus raises the ratings a bit. Anything to raise the rating is game for the writers of the show. Society has told us that a person is not cool if he waits to have sex unt
